Your grandmother’s rosary. Your favorite song. Ink and paper. Your best friend. The money in your wallet. The fork in your hand. Brushes and paint. Downward Facing Dog. The color turquoise. The almost invisible shade of pink. God. The skyline. The earth beneath your feet. A hammock. The shade of a giant tree. This moment, right here, now. Your bones. Your belly laugh. Your breath. Close your eyes for a moment and take a few more deep breaths here.

Try to put aside the worries of your day, your chores you have to do, the grocery list…and breathe. Just breathe.

Each day take a few of these breathing moments and do something for yourself. Whatever that may look like. Stepping outside for a few minutes, a relaxing bath, listening to your favorite podcast, enjoying a cup of coffee before the sun rises, dance, sing, yoga, meditation. Or you can do like me and go sit in your car and blast some of your favorite music. Whatever it may be.

And create a gratitude list. It doesn’t have to be journaled. Think of a few things to be grateful for each day and breathe friend. You are here and listening to what you need. You’re showing up each day and doing just fine.
